[2025] Participation in the Spring Academic Conference of the Korean Dementia Society

Bredis Healthcare participated in the International Conference of the Korean Dementia Association (IC-KDA & ASAD 2025), held on May 8, 2025, at the Lotte Hotel World in Seoul.

At this conference, there were lively discussions on the latest research trends in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, as well as on early diagnosis strategies based on blood biomarkers and the clinical application of disease-modifying therapies.

Bredis Healthcare shared its research findings by presenting two poster presentations at the conference.

The first study, “Drivers of Dementia Prevention Technology Adoption in Cognitively Healthy Adults,” analyzed factors influencing the adoption of dementia prevention technologies among cognitively healthy adults. Using a framework that integrates protection motivation theory and the technology acceptance model, the study confirmed that complementary health information systems, such as blood biomarker analysis, are key drivers of adoption due to individuals’ risk perception and self-efficacy.

The second study, “Optimizing Clinical Utilization of Blood Biomarker Analysis Results Using Bayesian Hidden Markov Models,” proposed an analysis framework based on Bayesian Hidden Markov Models to enhance the clinical utility of blood biomarkers in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. By utilizing pTau217 measured by SIMOA HD-X as a key biomarker and integrating demographic and neurocognitive data, the study demonstrated that this approach reduces the rate of indeterminate diagnoses by more than 50% compared to single-biomarker measurement, while maintaining equivalent sensitivity and specificity.

Beyond simply introducing solutions, Bredis Healthcare will present our research findings directly and make a substantial contribution to advancements in the field of early Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
