Korea Brain Trainer Association Holds Conference, Declares Itself "Guardian of Korea's Mental Health"
A meaningful event related to mental health was held this past March. Timed to coincide with Brain Awareness Week, certified Brain Trainers — holders of Korea's nationally recognized qualification in brain training — gathered together with leading companies in the brain industry to explore solutions to the serious mental health challenges facing Korea today. The Korea Brain Trainer Association (President Sei-il Chun) hosted the "2025 Brain Trainer Conference" on March 22 at the main auditorium of the Seoul City Hall Annex, under the slogan "The Role and Vision of Brain Trainers in Solving Mental Health Challenges." The conference brought together around 200 certified Brain Trainers along with leading companies in the brain industry. "Brain Trainer" is a nationally recognized qualification issued by the Ministry of Education in the field of brain training, awarded to individuals who, based on a systematic and scientific understanding of brain function and characteristics assessment, design and guide training programs to enhance a person's cognitive abilities. At the event, President Sei-il Chun — a leading figure in integrative medicine with expertise spanning Eastern medicine, Western medicine, and complementary and alternative medicine — spoke at the vision declaration ceremony marking the Korea Brain Trainer Association's establishment as an incorporated association. "True well-being is achieved when the body, mind, and brain are organically connected," he said, adding, "Nationally certified Brain Trainers will become the guardians of Korea's mental health," in a statement of vision and commitment. Hyundoo Hwang, CEO of BREDIS Healthcare — a company specializing in personalized dementia-related healthcare — presented on "Building an Ecosystem to Overcome Dementia."
