Bredis Healthcare Successfully Completes Deep Tech TIPS Project with Domestic Alzheimer's Blood Testing Technology
September 29, 2026

Bredis Healthcare Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyundoo Hwang), a company specializing in brain disease biomarkers, announced on the 29th that it has successfully completed its "Deep Tech TIPS" R&D project under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, built on domestically developed ultrasensitive blood biomarker testing technology.
Deep Tech TIPS is a program that combines private investment with government R&D support to foster startups in national strategic technology fields. Selected companies receive up to KRW 1.5 billion in funding over three years, and to complete the program successfully, they must meet not only their technology development goals but also commercialization requirements — including revenue, exports, investment, and employment.
Bredis Healthcare was selected in 2023, the year the program launched — the same year the company was founded — to develop a "digital immunoassay kit and Alzheimer's disease risk assessment system for quantitative detection of blood biomarkers at the fg/mL level." The company independently developed technology capable of detecting trace amounts of protein in blood, achieving all of its planned quantitative performance targets. Using the results of this R&D, the company also generated more than KRW 1.5 billion in related revenue, fulfilling the commercialization success criteria as well. This makes Bredis Healthcare a leading example of a company selected in the program's inaugural year that successfully completed the entire process — from technology development to commercialization — over three years, bridging what is often called the "gap between technology and market."
"Over the past three years, we focused on turning domestically developed ultrasensitive blood biomarker testing technology into real products and services," said CEO Hyundoo Hwang. "Building on this achievement, we will move forward with full-scale commercialization and expand our business through the early detection of neurodegenerative brain diseases and entry into overseas markets."
