The Korea Brain Trainer Association (President Sei-il Chun) announced on the 19th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BREDIS Healthcare (Co-CEOs Hyundoo Hwang and Jina Kim) to promote dementia prevention and digital senior healthcare.
Under the MOU, the two organizations will collaborate on operating a total senior healthcare service that combines dementia risk analysis with brain training, as well as training specialized personnel in the field.
The Korea Brain Trainer Association is the official association of certified holders of "Brain Trainer," Korea's only nationally recognized qualification in brain training. As a nonprofit organization, it focuses on cultivating experts to promote brain health, creating jobs, and conducting research and development.
The association developed a brain health recreation certification program that was designated as a promising occupation for women by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 2020, and has since steadily trained specialists in dementia prevention. It also co-operated the "Outreach Program for Early Dementia Prediction and Prevention Education" through the Nowon Lifelong Citizens' University, organized by Nowon-gu in Seoul and run by Seoul National University of Science and Technology, contributing to improved brain health among older adults.
BREDIS Healthcare, meanwhile, is a senior total healthcare company providing blood test-based dementia risk analysis services with world-class accuracy.
The company has also recently developed ChitaCare, a multimodal big data-based senior health management solution that combines lifelog data collected via wearable devices such as its smart ring. The service is currently undergoing real-world validation through the Seoul Bio-Medical Technology Commercialization Support Program and the Gwangju Dementia Cohort Multimodal Data Application Testbed Project.
"Through this agreement, we are now able to provide specialized services for dementia prevention and management," said Hyeongchul Noh, Secretary-General of the Korea Brain Trainer Association. "This will present a new paradigm for senior health management."
"By combining the expertise of both organizations, we will develop more effective dementia prevention solutions and drive innovation in the senior total healthcare market," said Hyundoo Hwang, CEO of BREDIS Healthcare.
