Bredis Healthcare attended the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC 2026), held from July 12–15 at ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom!

AAIC is the world's largest conference dedicated to advancing Alzheimer's disease research and clinical practice. Each year, it brings together researchers, clinicians, and dementia professionals from around the globe to share the latest scientific discoveries and clinical insights. From basic science to dementia care, this year's conference featured plenary sessions, thousands of poster presentations, and hundreds of oral presentations spanning imaging, technology, and innovative clinical approaches — over the course of four packed days.

Among the highlights of AAIC 2026 were two landmark research findings directly relevant to Bredis Healthcare's work. A real-world study from Lund University in Sweden demonstrated that blood-based biomarker testing can enable primary care physicians to achieve diagnostic accuracy for Alzheimer's disease comparable to that of specialists — approximately 90% — marking a major step toward bringing accurate diagnosis into everyday clinical settings. Additionally, a Harvard Medical School research team presented findings showing that elevated blood levels of p-tau217 in cognitively healthy adults can predict the risk of cognitive impairment up to a decade before symptoms appear, underscoring the immense potential of early intervention.
