On February 21, 2025, BREDIS Healthcare participated in the 8th Neuroscience Forum for Alzheimer's Disease (NFAD), held in Gwangju.
Hosted by the Gwangju Dementia Cohort Research Group at Chosun University and the Asian Dementia Research Foundation, the forum drew around 200 attendees, including clinicians, neuroscientists, biomedical engineers, and industry experts. The program featured four symposiums and a total of 21 talks covering topics such as plasma biomarkers and metabolomics, neuroinflammation and the microbiome, immunotherapy for Alzheimer's disease, and AI and digital assessment — sharing the latest research findings ranging from emerging treatments like lecanemab and donanemab to early diagnosis based on blood biomarkers.
A highlight of the forum was a talk delivered by BREDIS Healthcare CEO Hwang Hyun-du, titled "Recent Advances in Digital Immunoassays for Ultrasensitive Detection of Biomarkers," in which he discussed the latest developments in digital immunoassay technology for ultrasensitive biomarker detection and its potential clinical applications with fellow researchers in Korea.
Taking the stage as a speaker allowed BREDIS Healthcare to build deeper trust with Korea's dementia research community, and the company remains committed to actively contributing to advances in the field of Alzheimer's disease.
